St. Patrick's church re-opened on Sunday 26 August, 2007. Here are some of the pictures taken around the time of the re-opening. All pictures on this page are copyright © Paul McSherry.

The culmination of the liturgies leading to the church being returned to parish worship was the Solemn Mass on Sunday 26 August, with Archbishop Conti as the Principal Celebrant, and With Mgr Gilmartin VG, Canon Hill, the newly-appointed parish priest, priests of the West End Deanery, and other priests concelebrating. Also present were members of local churches, as well as local elected representatives, at parliamentary and local government level

A very full church for the Mass was powerful testimony of the prayerful good wishes on offer from so many people

During the closure, the parish had been unable to celebrate the Easter Triduum in the church, so an important part of the re-opening liturgy was the blessing of the font, and the sprinkling of the church and the congregation with the newly-blessed water.

And afterwards!
