St. Patrick's news

Day out & sponsored cycle, Millport,
20 June 2010.

A handful of parishioners (and dogs!) took full advantage of the marvellous weather on Sunday 20 June to have a day out at Millport, Isle of Cumbrae. Some intrepid parishioners joined in the traditional Millport pastime of hiring bicycles, and cycling the 10.5 miles around the island, turning this into a fundraising opportunity through a sponsored cycle.
And here is some of the evidence!

Downhill all the way at this stage!

A bit like a Parish Council Meeting, really (all pedalling fast, and going nowhere!)

A big thanks to all who made the day so much fun, and to Sharon for the photos

Restoration of the church organ,
2008

Just before the summer of 2008 began, our organ, which was in a sorry state, was rebuilt by Michael McDonald, and is now up and running. The photos show the intriguing stages of a new organ being put together.

The organ is in use at Mass every Saturday night and Sunday morning, as well as during the week on occasions.
